On "AI Search Is Nothing Without SEO & It Knows It"
Technical SEO just got a reprieve it didn't deserve. The argument that AI search engines need semantic structure and citation trails to work properly is true, but it's being weaponized by people who want to pretend the fundamentals haven't shifted—that if you just optimize your schema and metadata, you'll survive. You won't. What's actually happening is that AI models are ruthlessly efficient at extracting value from well-structured sites without sending traffic back, which means the old SEO playbook (rank, get clicks, convert) is breaking apart. Technical SEO is necessary now, but it's become table stakes for getting indexed and cited, not a competitive advantage. The real fight is whether your content gets attributed at all, and no amount of JSON-LD is going to settle that.
