On "5.9% Of Websites Are Blocking ChatGPT"
The fact that only 5.9% of sites are actively blocking AI crawlers says less about websites respecting human visitors than it does about how little most sites understand their own traffic mix and what they're optimizing for. If you're not blocking ChatGPT but you're also not getting meaningful affiliate revenue or capturing searcher intent yourself, you're basically running a free training dataset for a competitor's product. The real question isn't whether to block—it's whether you've actually analyzed whether that crawler traffic converts to anything you care about, or whether you're just letting it happen because everyone else is.
