On "How to automate local SEO: 7 tasks you can take off your plate (without leaving them all to AI)"

Local SEO agencies are selling automation as labor arbitrage when they should be selling judgment. Yes, you can automate citation building and review aggregation—but the actual work that moves the needle is deciding which citations matter for your vertical, handling reputation crises that don't fit a template, and knowing when your GBP audit revealed something that needs strategy, not just fixing. The trap is treating automation as a way to scale local work without scaling your thinking; it's really just a way to stop doing the thinking at all. If you're using tools to free time for actual strategy, great. If you're using them to pack more clients into the same headcount, you're building a low-margin service business that competes on price.
