On "Nvidia's big bet on physical AI aims for safer robotaxis, humanoid robots"

Nvidia's pitch that end-to-end safety stacks will unlock robotics adoption is backwards — companies racing autonomous vehicles and humanoids aren't slowed by fragmented safety tools, they're slowed by the hard physics problems that no stack solves. What Nvidia's really selling is vendor lock-in dressed as risk mitigation, which works fine for enterprises that already depend on their hardware, but it doesn't actually move the needle on the fundamental simulation-to-reality gap that keeps these systems from scaling. If you're evaluating robotics platforms, the safety story should be credible but secondary to whether they've actually cracked the control problem.
