On "Google Says Canonical Re-Evaluation Can Take Up to Two Weeks"

Google's timeline here is basically meaningless unless you're willing to wait in limbo while your traffic tanks. Two weeks is the optimistic scenario after you've already identified and fixed a canonicalization problem—and that assumes Google crawls the page quickly enough to even notice the change. The real issue practitioners should care about is that you can't validate the fix immediately, which means you're flying blind on whether your solution actually worked. Document everything you change, monitor Search Console for crawl patterns, and understand that "can take up to two weeks" really means "could be much longer depending on crawl budget and how competitive your content is."
