On "When To Use Search Console’s ‘Validate Fix,’ According To Google"

Validate Fix is a tool most teams should just ignore unless they've made a sweeping structural change and need fast re-crawl signals—otherwise you're burning validation attempts on pages Google's already queued up anyway. The real value is understanding that hitting the button doesn't magically accelerate indexing; it just tells Google "hey, look at this again sooner," which only matters if you've actually fixed something at scale and timing is critical. Most of the time you'll get better results letting your normal crawl budget do the work, so save Validate Fix for the moments when you've genuinely moved something important and need to push it into the index before a deadline.
