SEO Daily Brief No. 2

On "Generating running routes with GPT-6 Astra and ChatGPT Work"

This is a clever demo of what newer models can do with extended reasoning and real data, but it's also exactly the kind of one-off use case that won't scale to SEO or discovery work. A model spending 27 minutes reasoning through a hyper-local problem for a single user is impressive engineering, sure, but it tells you nothing about how search engines should (or will) handle the vast majority of queries where instant answers matter more than perfect ones. The real takeaway for practitioners isn't that AI can solve complex problems—it's that the economics and user expectations around search haven't changed, and throwing compute at reasoning won't fix the fundamental tension between depth and speed.
