On "Google Dataset Search Currently Not Returning Search Results"

This is mostly noise unless it's been down for days. A few hours of Dataset Search being broken is operational friction, not a story—Google's infrastructure hiccups all the time, and Dataset Search isn't a core revenue driver so outages don't get the same priority. The real question isn't whether it's down now but whether Google's still committed to the product at all, given how quietly it's been neglected compared to the structured data initiatives that actually moved the needle for search. If you're relying on Dataset Search for discovery, you already know the answer: you're not, and you shouldn't be.
