On "Are agents really killing UI?"

The "UI is dead" narrative is wishful thinking from people who've never shipped a product at scale. Agents will handle rote tasks and logged-in workflows fine, but they'll never replace the interface as a discovery and trust mechanism—users still need to see what they're buying, understand what happened, and know they're not being scammed. The real work ahead isn't killing UI, it's building hybrid systems where agents handle execution while interfaces remain the control panel and the proof. That's harder and less exciting than declaring UI obsolete, which is probably why you hear the extreme take so often.
